This is his 35th but the 1st collection CD of short pieces, including Asano's unreleased past works which produced during 1997-1998 mainly works recorded in Tokyo. These years his album work was focused on one story, with just one or few tracks for 60-70 minutes CD, but "The Giant Squid"-album title came from one of the track title from this CD- has so much variety 14 tracks in one CD, from the noisy frequencies electric music to melodic piano piece. All tracks was re-edited and re-mastered for this collection. In some tracks you could find fragments or miniature of "Monsoon"(1999), "Sunshine Filtering Through Foliage"(1999) or "Vacant Land"(1998) which was released in those period.
